Sea Horse Dive Club Local Dives

Weekly Dives have traditionally been held on a Wednesday to break up the workday grind.  However you will find many on a Thursday or Friday.  Friday night dives tend to be an advanced dive to 100 foot depth at Cove 2 in hopes of seeing a six gill.  The second dive of the night is into a pitcher of beer, shared by several, at the local tavern and to swap stories.

Weekly dives were started decades ago by someone who changed their midweek work out from hiking in the summer after work to night dives in the winter.  The midweek activity has changed into an excuse to try out new dive gear for veterans, a source of having a dive buddy or two without contacting everyone on the buddy list, and most importantly to get into the water on a regular basis to enjoy the world below.

Brian Heath is currently leading dives for the Seattle area and is looking for someone to lead dives in the Everett and Tacoma areas so our club members don't have to spend a lot of money on gas each week.

"What do you see under water" is probably the most frequent question we get asked and quickly followed by "how deep do you go".  So we end up telling the about all the great looking little fish or octopus we come upon.  And to the second one just the typical depth.  No one ever says "a lot of silt from my dive buddy" to those innocent eyes looking in awe of all the gear we are wearing.
