Klas Rock
Location: In front of Mats Mats entrance
GPS: N47 57.781 W122 40.365
Depth: 50 Feet
Description: A wall from the surface to 50 Ft on the west side near the north extremity.
It has two vertical crevases with a see thru near the top of the north one.
Sea Life: A most colorful wall with red and orange cucumbers and tube worms.
Ling, Rockfish, sculpins harbor seals, crabs, anemonies
Note: Very strong current possible. Use caution it is easy to run your bout onto the rocks here.
There used to be two nav buoys, one at the north end of the rocks and one at the south. The south buoy was removed and the north buoy was moved in recent years so that it marks the east approach instead of being right at the rocks.
