Mukilteo Oil Dock - Mukilteo
Dive Site Description:
A moderate swim and walk. Some of us joke about calling it the "Iron-man" dive because you walk with your gear for 150 yards and swim another 50. This is a great place for harvesting crab.
CAUTION: Broken and hanging pilings may be hazardous.
Two Alternate dives: tire piles out in front, a much shorter walk. Left of the parking lot 30 to 60 yards.
The slope is shallow for about 40 yards then drops off steeply until 40 foot depth and becomes gradual again.
the other site is a couple of boats 80 yards north of the parking lot. Straight out from a rock out cropping. The slope here is gradual all the way out. Boats are about 35 and 50 feet of water, and are about 50 feet apart.
Directions:
- I-5 to highway 526 and on to Mukilteo.
- Drive to the bottom of the hill and turn right. (The park & boat launch is just to your left.)
- Continue around the concrete wall- USAF old fuel facility - and parallel to the rail road tracks. You may see the gate and gravel road just before the pavement crosses the RR tracks.
- Continue on around the concrete wall to the parking lot at the end.
