The Puget Sound region is home to several underwater parks, with ongoing artificial reef and marine habitat enhancement projects underway.

"Recently renamed in honor of the man who has long headed the efforts of local divers to develop and maintain it, Bruce Higgins UW Trails is one of the area’s most popular sites for good reason. Amongst small wrecks and man-made structures covered with invertebrates, you are guaranteed encounters with lots of large, even huge, lingcod, cabazon and rockfish and can easily see the best of what Puget Sound has to offer. As a Marine Protected Area, it has afforded these fish many years to mature and reproduce without interference. They are easily approached by divers; making this a great photo site." Experience Washington

Mukilteo Lighthouse Park is just south and west of the Mukilteo ferry, formerly known as Mukilteo State Park. A long time favorite shore diving destination, there have been issues with diver access recently, but the diving community is currently working with the city to include diving as a part of this vibrant local park.

Saltwater State Park is a great place to take the kids this summer. The kiosk vendor is open on the weekends. There is a rinse station for your pets, kids or dive gear. And best of all is the new piles of boulders.
