Our friend The Oatmeal is at it again.  In today's installment, he brings us the Mantis Shrimp, one of the most beautiful yet vicious creatures in the ocean.  From The Oatmeal: The Mantis Shrimp has 16 different color-receptive cones (compared to 3 for humans) so it can perceive colors that we can't even imagine.  Perhaps this is why they're so glorious to look at.  Being a creature that perceives and presents such beauty, one would expect the Mantis Shrimp to be some kind of undersea holy man, gracefully floating along the sea floor, high-fiving lobsters and blessing babies.  This, however, couldn't be further from the truth.  The truth is, the Mantis Shrimp is an UNDERSEA NIGHTMARE!
