Coming to the Seahorses! Stu Westmorland – Professional Photographer

We’re so excited to bring back former Boeing employee and Sea Horse member Stu Westmorland.  His program for the evening, “Around the World with a Camera”, will feature Stuart’s favorite images from a long career as a full-time professional photographer since leaving his Boeing job in 1992.  The presentation will emphasize his favorite cold water dives in Washington, British Columbia and Iceland.  Other exotic destinations will be briefly covered including The Red Sea, Indo Pacific and Caribbean.

As one of Seattle’s leading stock and assignment photographers, Stuart Westmorland specializes in cityscapes, lifestyle and marine photography.  His images have been published on more than 200 magazine and book covers. Stuart won the top honor at the 2010 International Conservation Photography Awards.  Stuart has traveled the world on assignment for many magazines including Skin Diver and Ocean Sports International. He was a contributing regional editor for Pacific Diver, Australasia Scuba Diver, Aqua, Sport Diver, Scuba Diving and Asian Geographic.  Corporate assignments include:  trade ads and brochure images for Talus Corporation; travel images from South America for Holland America;  feature photography for Lexus Magazine in Japan to cover the Cherry Blossom Festival and trade ads for American Express, the National Geographic Society, American Online, Eddie Bauer, The Gap, MCI and Microsoft, to name just a few.

Our meeting will coincide with the recent introduction of, Seattle: A Photographic PortraitHe will be selling signed copies of his lavish 128-page coffee table book.
