By Ed Gullekson January 25, 2013 Four SeaHorses met to dive this beautiful evening at Cove 2. Brian Lund, Randy
Pedersen, Pieter Bootha nd Ed Gullekson we there to see the setting sun light up
the city as the moon rose to decorate the sky. What a gorgeous sight. It was still quite light on the first dive and vis was an easy 20 feet.
Water has cooled to about 46. We found rockfish, ligcod, white spotted
greenling and horned shrimp and one small octopus on the first dive. For the second one we saw much of that again plus a stubby squid, Pieter
saw an opalescent squid, grunt sculpin, juvenile decorated warbonnet and
numerous kinds of shrimp. Vis dropped a bit due to two seals. A school of
anchovy hovered in the shallows. |
