June Indoor Meeting Highlights

posted Jun 22, 2017, 10:07 PM by Editor SeaHorse
The Sea Horses Club meeting this month captured the attention of 18 people for a very interesting talk on Urban Marine Ecology, with much detail on giant Pacific octopus information. We heard from Eliza Heery PhD on her studies. One conclusion is that going deeper may help to find octopuses, another is that water temperature may affect overall populations (warm=fewer octopuses). This month two dive leaders earned air cards for leading dives that had 4 members participating. Gary Schnaith earned one for a dive at KVI Towers, and Pieter Booth earned one for dives at Sund Rock. Next month, on 7/20, is the Wine Dive at Alki Pipeline. Look for the announcement here and on the Google calendar.
