Due to a problem at the venue, this meeting was canceled - look for it to be rescheduled - May 24th Indoor Meeting - Jim Trask, President, WSA and Joyce Hoffman, Nicaragua and Grenada Dive Travel

Jim Trask is the President of the Washington Scuba Alliance and has been serving with WSA for the past 12 years. WSA is a group of divers, dive business owners and dive club leaders who protect the rights and access to dive sites by lobbying policy makers in Olympia and help protect and create opportunities for more diver access in the future. Jim was instrumental in creating safer diver access by installing stairs in the Tacoma Les Davis Marine Park and installing 13 mooring buoys at dive sites throughout Washington State. Please join us as we hear Jim tell us about WSA’s current plans about the new reef in Redondo and transplantation of sea life to nearby artificial and natural reefs. WSA has created a "Best Practices" program to safely remove the sea life from the pilings and tires. This has not been done anywhere else in the world. WSA currently has several plans for seven new artificial reefs in Washington State.

Joyce just recently returned from an exciting trip to Nicaragua and Grenada. She has some photos and videos to share of her travels in these rarely visited countries. It will be great to hear some dive travel stories from off the beaten track.
