Photo Contest Results and meeting

posted Oct 23, 2014, 10:23 PM by Ed Gullekson
Tonight we saw some outstanding images from members that show off talent across the club.  The contest was again a well-run, fun evening, with about 20 members and guests attending and voting.  First we watched 3 videos and with each of us having a ballot in hand voted for those.  Next we circled the room looking at the prints in each category, marking our ballots as we toured.

Here are the results by category:
Video - Cal Romaneschi - Thunderdome in Turks & Caicos Islands
Cold water wide angle - Pieter Booth - wolf eel at Browning Pass - This was also best of show
Cold water macro - Gary Schnaith - Penpoint gunnels
Warm water wide angle - Ed Gullekson - Hammerhead shark
Warm water macro - Pieter Booth - Flamingo tongue on soft coral
Above water - Gary Schnaith - Australian sea lion
Ratfish - Ed Gullekson - Ratfish..... close-up

Thank you to the dive stores who contributed prizes - Evergreen Diving; Lighthouse Diving; TLSea and Underwater Sports.  Please patronize these stores.
Thank you Randy Pedersen for another great Video and Photo Contest!

In addition, George Barron reviewed the waterfront plans that were presented by the Mukilteo planning people on Tuesday evening.  We had many divers in the audience and they engaged in a good dialogue with the presenters, who are open to our input.  You can review the plans and the presentation at this web location:
